​
The cold water is rising. First you didn't feel it, then you didn't want to admit it. Now it is at your throat and cuts off your air. And it keeps rising.
Like an unstoppable tide, depression and other mental disorders can sweep through and ravage the course of an individual's life. In a time riddled with crises like the current one, the subject matter is more relevant than ever.
Rising Tide begins with a stormy night in which the protagonist writes his suicide note with the promise to shed light on the reasons for his impending suicide for those left behind. In the following three songs, these turn out to be an interplay of depressive disposition, the partner's accident and the resulting alcohol addiction. The EP closes again with the situation of the protagonist writing his acoustic farewell letter, whereby the concrete outcome of the night remains open.
